TECHINCAL TRAINING CENTER

Michelin North America provides technical training to meet the needs of the plants and to prepare our workforce for the technical challenges in tire manufacturing. Training is offered for both wage and non-wage employees and focuses on the development of maintenance and technical personnel.

Specifically, the goals of the technical training are to:

• Help employees adapt product to American and European technical standards.
• Assist plants in remaining current with new technology.
• Provide ongoing technical resources to trainees and management.
• Provide advanced training in mechanical, electrical, and electronics.
• Provide courses that emphasize technical trade skills relating to: mechanical and electrical systems (i.e. hydraulics, pneumatics, AC and DC drives).
• Provide training in programmable logic controllers (i.e. Allen Bradley and Siemens).
