MANUFACTURING

Process/Quality Engineers provide technical expertise to identify, develop, implement and refine the manufacturing processes and equipment. Special expertise may be developed in one or more specific areas of manufacturing (tire building, extrusion, curing, or mixing) or in quality projects. Some positions may involve travel for multiple plant projects.

Michelin provides comprehensive training for both Process Engineers and Quality Engineers.

Process Engineer Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or equivalent technical degree.

  • Improves quality in the manufacturing process and industrializes new technology, materials, and equipment
  • Applies technical troubleshooting skills to existing processes with production quality concerns

Quality Engineer Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or chemistry.

  • Improves quality in the manufacturing process and industrializes new technology and materials
  • Applies technical troubleshooting skills to existing processes with production quality concerns
  • Implements initiatives to ensure product quality while respecting cost reduction initiatives
  • Prepares for this role through an extensive training program.

Industrialization Engineer Requires a bachelor's degree or higher in mechanical engineering, chemical engineering or chemistry or equivalent technical degree.

  • Industrializes new products and processes
  • Partners with the R&D group to design and conduct process capability studies for manufacturing processes
