That's the central challenge of the Michelin North America Logistics organization - a complex assembly of distribution centers, manufacturing warehouses, and trucking fleets. As the core of Michelin's supply chain management team, the Logistics organization coordinates a world-wide network that assures our products reach their destinations in a fashion that exceeds customer expectations.
Logistics Engineer Requires a bachelor's degree in industrial or mechanical engineering (or other technically equivalent field) and at least three years experience in logistics, distribution, warehousing, or transportation. Some business travel required.
- Develops and implements key projects and technical solutions to improve logistics infrastructure and core processes. Sample projects include developing and improving warehouse and distribution center layouts and material flow, manpower requirement calculations, time studies and operations analysis.
- Utilizes organizational, analytical, and project management skills in a team-based setting
