Accounting/Finance
The Accounting and Finance organization is divided into three main functional areas:
- Finance and Treasury operations concentrate on financial analysis, reporting, fixed asset acquisitions and budgeting.
- Corporate, Cost, and Sales Accounting encompasses the more traditional accounting areas like general accounting, payroll, cost, and revenue accounting.
- Internal Audit ensures that all accounting methods used meet company and governmental guidelines.
Recent college graduates with finance or accounting degrees usually join Michelin North America in the cost accounting area. CPAs with work experience in public accounting usually join the Corporate Accounting or Internal Audit groups.
